Troy Smithson in Salt Lake office screwed me

Troy double-booked a load. My driver was there first and was loaded. Driver was unloaded and freight put on the second carrier's truck. No dry run or truck ordered, not used. He made it out to be my fault, as if I magically obtained all this info by myself. I will bad mouth him every chance I get for as long as I can. {{Redacted}}

I tried this company out for the first time this year. I got a quote from a fast talking scam artist by the name of Izzy Tommy. He basically told me everything I wanted to hear and then when the final bill came in I was overcharged by a few hundred. I tried to speak to Mr. Tommy about it and basically got cursed out and hung up on. Be very careful when dealing with this company and get everything in writing, especially if dealing with Izzy Tommy.

Globaltranz has always been more than fair with me. Any time I received a rebill it was my own fault for not using the proper freight class, checking the weight or verifying if it was a residence or a business. I would suggest this company to anyone.

They quote something very low to earn your business and then they bill you twice for the service. Very unprofessional agents and bunch of liars with ZERO customer service.

I currently have a case open against them with BBB and fixing to take them to court if issue is not resolved. Kerrie Postgate was my agent and she lied about everything. She is unprofessional agent who has no regards to customer service. I advise anyone who is reading this, to stay away from this company.

Think twice before you do any business with them. In the past, they apologized and resolved the issue by adjusting the invoice.

I guess this time they got very greedy and may be they lost faith in their company model and decided that they no longer need to offer a good customer service. Their horrible reputation online tells the whole story.

Quoted us a price and charged us more than quoted. Told us it was billed at a different class. Class of quote was absolutely correct and documented. Customer service was horrible and time consuming to resolve. We ship this item all over the country for years at correct classification and have shipped same item with Globaltranz at same Class and NMFC. Then the rep harrased me and insulted me. She has shipped this item multiple times at correct Class and NMFC . Threatened me as well. Very unprofessional company that you should avoid. We ship to mass merchants all over USA and the world. Tried to be nice to a rep who obviously needs training.

Don't even know where to start. Load was supposed to deliver on a Friday because it was needed Friday night for an event. Globaltranz charged extra for "guaranteed" delivery even though three day in transit is standard and there shouldn't have been a problem. When we called to find out where the load was they say it will deliver Monday. In a panic we let them know it has to be delivered that afternoon or at least early evening. They say no problem only to call later to tell us it won't happen. Although load never showed up for the event we still needed the load. No problem it will be delivered tomorrow. At noon the next day they claim they don't know where it is even though we called the shipper and they told us it was still on their dock waiting for release. Same thing happened the next day and again the next day. Someone is on drugs or they just don't care. Either way were done with them. a five year relationship down the drain because of one incompetent ***.

Global tranz terrible estimated to be delivered on the 22 didn't get no call of what's going on with my item then I had to contact seller.. finally I call them on 12/28/2017 around 2 to schedule so it was schedule for the next day of 12/29/2017 and no show up and nowi call them back to see what's going on and they tell me to call them on tuesday and it's gonna be Saturday tomorrow I'm pretty disappointment 200 dollar handling and it's not even gonna be here in time really disappointed have to wait after news year too

Globaltranz is a pricing platform at best. There is no service, there is no guarantee of the quoted price, there is no communication, there is no support when things go wrong (and they do go wrong with Globaltranz).

They are an absolute disgusting company to work with. Regardless of their quote make sure you read the fine print as you will be billed several times. Even when you give them the cube their rates don't hold up and secondary billings come in. Damaged freight, you're on your own.

you're on your own. They will not assist with any follow up with the truckers.

I worked for them for several years and I can tell you that all your complaints are valid. Not only are they are horrible company to deal with, but have a slew of internal problems. The turnover rate is the highest of any big employer in Arizona.

Double your quoted rate with Don Mowry/ Global Tranz/ Carrier Rate

Don Mowry is also a Liar and Thief, does not honor the rates quoted, then wants to blame you for his lack of communication. A little customer service goes a long way.

Don wants to sit back and collect commissions with no participation to his service what so ever!

The bills come in double of what they were quoted at, and then He goes manic when you call him out on it. Don there is medication for that type of outburst, but maybe if you actually took part in the service there would be no need for your outburst in the first place.

Oh we have had the same run in with good old Don. There is no corporate support either so I highly discourage people from using Globaltranz.

I can't understand how this company is still in business. It's a sad industry at the moment.

I have very similar problem with the others. They do not stick with their quote and they lie about dimensions and weight.

Thanks god I changed my credit card info so they weren't able to charge me. I am still fighting with them and I will until I get clear answers. They act like they are mafia or something. They think they can just bill whatever they want.

My agent is not helping at all he is like sponge head.

First he said dimension was wrong, and then he said weight is wrong, and then he said cubic feet was wrong. He has no f....ing clue.

Most Dishonest Shipper Ever

GlobalTranz routinely issues written quotes and later bills for undisclosed items or "makes up" charges after the fact. We were once billed for pallets being more than 60" high (after the fact), and for a change in carrier, which was never disclosed or agreed, and numerous other bogus items. There is no limit on the height of a pallet as long as it fits into the truck door. Globaltranz bids low to get your business, then adds charges which will make you regret not taking any other quote. Chris Tucker--- The worst agent who could represent GLOBALTRANZ.

We have a good relationship with GLOBALTRANZ and agents like Chris Tucker play with the companies name, lies about the shippers lieas about the carrier!Gave us load and please notice after I called on him and he said that the trailer needs to be dropped by noon I said that the truck is in Washington and will not be able to do that drop by that time cause it was 10:30 AM, then 30 minutes later he called me back with the same load and said that driver can be there late by 3 pm, we sent out the truck and found out that the shipper cuts off at 12 pm, the shipper told me that the broker lies (Chris Tucker) he told me that the driver was let but he new the ETA of the driver and he made a check call with us at 1 pm and was told that the truck will be at the shipper at 2:30 Pm -or 3 Pm he was fine with that too, long story short, first said we were late, then said the shipper didn't tell him that they wont load him if he arrives late,then just kept telling that there was appointment time at 12 and we missed it, so he thinks he is smart head instead of thinking that idiots like him make a problem for carriers like we are with their non- professional way of doing business!

Worst customer service !!! Google this company first and see the horror stories of all the customers they have ripped off, DO NOT use this company for your shipping, I got a quote for $300 to ship some freight , A few weeks later they charged my card $677 on top of the $300 without notifying me or even giving me a invoice, When I called they said it was for back charges and refused to credit me back, BEWARE !!!

Terrible customer service. We tried to switch to Global Tranz from AAA cooper We ship LTL a few times a week. We are still fighting invoices given to us that are not ours, invoices where quote was $900 and invoice is$3500. After forwarding their quote back to them 18 times. Every time a different person answers then they are gone. Too frustrating to work with them

Globaltranz fails epically

Roadrunner Transportation suxx which is evident but when they do not deliver on time, Globaltranz will refuse to help when a shipment does not arrive on time. Claiming they are a 3rd party and have no control over .

My suggestion is to not ship via globaltranz. Out of all our brokers, they have the most freight adjustments out of all the top brokers. Cheap rates out of the gate but you get porked on rebills.

Also, if you get connected with Jonathan Dixon, Jeremy Woodson or Bobby Stranger you will get screewed over after the rebill you over and over.

"Back to where we were before, where is the shipment exactly? What type of compensation will GlobalTranz offer due to a shipment taking 10 business days (at least 20 calendar days) before they get their shipment? You sitting there and stating in essence “it gets there when it gets there” will not fly with this buyer and I am sure that will not help the situation if they decide to take legal action."

"None of these shipments are time sensitive but are just taking way too long. Compound that with horrible tracking and lying to anyone who calls on where the shipment is and you not responding after a few hours if at all. If a carrier lists a transit time then they should be inclined to make some attempt to hit it even if it is a feeble one. The underlying issue is that if you are representing a carrier, you have to hold them accountable to a point and it is not happening. You take the money but then claim neutrality when they screw up."

First, I do not work for Globaltranz but I have worked in the LTL world for quite some time. The transit times are estimated times only.

Unless you pay a hefty fee for a guaranteed delivery date. I have shipped items that had a 5 day transit time and it took 3 weeks to arrive. That is not unheard of with LTL carriers. Many times they will interline freight which can cause unexpected delays.

I have even had a few of my shipments lost.

LTL carriers are very protected but motor carrier regulations. If you ship long enough it will happen to you again.

To add to this comment. The carrier in question (Roadrunner) is an asset light carrier.

They interline 99% of their freight which unfortunately causes lengthy transit times and additional handling. They are setup to provide low cost options. Using interline service is how they accomplish lower prices than other carriers (they own less assets so have less overhead). This business model does provide cheaper rates but unfortunately at the expense of customer service/accurate transit times.

The additional handling by their interline carriers can also make freight moved with Roadrunner more vulnerable to damage. Other carriers that have similar business models in place are Frontline Freight, Shift Freight, Clear Lane and Dot Line just to name a few. Austin Miller is right that if your agent is not well versed in LTL you will have issue, however, the shipper also has responsibility to provide accurate information. If the shipper cannot provide accurate information about the product shipping and services needed even the most experienced LTL agent in the world will have trouble providing you with good service/accurate rates.

90% of the time there is a re-bill from an asset based carrier or 3pl it is due to a shipper not providing accurate information for the original quote. (E.G. - inaccurate weight, class, product description or NMFC#.

Not disclosing that delivery is to a non-commercial location, needs a liftgate, appointment and so on. All of these factors impact pricing for LTL)

Worst shipment service I have EVER had shipping LTL. Crate was supposed to be delivered Tuesday, September 8. I checked 5 times to make sure the holiday on Monday was not going to be a problem with Tuesday delivery. Was assured by Daniel Clackler and Lauren Ryan that it would be delivered Tuesday. It was not. We were assured that it would be delivered Wednesday, it was not. NOW they are telling us that it will not be delivered until FRIDAY. We have had a person up there to receive the tool since Monday so we have had to pay hotel, airfare, meals, rental car and it appears that we will have to pay for ANOTHER WEEK. THEN, they only want to give a $100 credit for their screw-up. NEVER use this company.
